The Social Viscosity Lab at the University of Illinois and the Champaign County Bikes are seeking participants for a micro-mobility study in Chicago and Urbana-Champaign.
Goal of the study
The study seeks to evaluate a prototype of a system designed to create swarms of cyclists. The ultimate goal is to develop a collaborative commuting system with zero carbon emissons.
Procedure
The study is split in two 2-hour sessions. In each session, participants will be asked to ride a regular or electric bicycle by themselves or in group. During the journey they will see and listen to acceleration cues on their phone and will respond by adjusting their riding speed. The participants will receive a compensation of $40 in Amazon gift cards at study completion.
In the first session you will ride by yourself. In the second session, you will be assigned to a group and ride with up to 10 other riders.

How to participate
